THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF MERCHANT MARINE AND PORTS ON A INSPECTION VISIT TO THE PORT OF ANNABA
Mr. Hilal Ben Aouda, Director General of Merchant Marine and Ports / Ministry of Transport, conducted a night inspection visit to the Port of Annaba on the night of March 17, 2025, at 11:00 PM to ensure the strict implementation of presidential instructions related to the operation of the continuous 24/7 work system at the Port of Annaba.
During his visit, the Director General of Merchant Marine and Ports was accompanied by the Director of Transport of the Wilaya of Annaba, as well as Mr. A. BOULARES, Director General of Annaba’s Port Company, and his operational management team.
The delegation visited the operational zones of the Port of Annaba where they closely observed the commercial activities related to the loading/unloading of goods and ship handling, as well as the working conditions under which these activities were carried out. Detailed explanations were provided to this senior official from the Ministry of Transport by Mr. A. BOULARES about the managerial efforts made and the resources mobilized to ensure the strict application of the 24/7 continuous work system, in close coordination with the main port stakeholders, including the Customs Administration and the Maritime Border Police. This excellence measure, initiated by the President of the Republic, is already starting to yield positive results and is gaining increased satisfaction from the economic operators frequenting the Port of Annaba.
On the sidelines of the visit, the Director General of Merchant Marine and Ports expressed his satisfaction with the implementation of the continuous work system at the Port of Annaba, praising the full involvement of the top management of the Port Enterprise in this effort to make the Port of Annaba a model of success on a national level.
