WORKING VISIT OF MR. HARKATI MOHAMED KARIM EDDINE, CEO OF THE SERPORT GROUP, TO THE PORT OF ANNABA

On Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 9:00 AM, Mr. HARKATI Mohamed Karim Eddine, Chief Executive Officer of the SERPORT Group, made a working visit to the Port of Annaba.

Upon his arrival, he was welcomed by an official committee composed of the entire management staff of the Annaba Port Company, led by Mr. Ali BOULARES, who is currently in charge of the General Directorate on an interim basis.

The visit began with a briefing organized in the meeting room. Following that, the President and his accompanying delegation went to the field, starting with a stop at the Container Terminal. They were joined by the Regional Customs Director. This part of the visit allowed them to inspect the conditions under which containers are handled and the challenges faced in this critical activity.

Next, Mr. President visited the site of the dismantling project of the old thermal power plant and the former Ferrovial warehouse, located in the southern part of the port. Mr. Ali BOULARES provided detailed explanations about the nature of the work and the deadlines set for its completion. The President emphasized the importance of accelerating this work in order to free up land, which is essential for the development of port activities, as quickly as possible and under the best conditions.

The delegation then visited the port expansion project, including the Mineral Quay, where they were welcomed by Mr. YOUNSI Mohamed Mehdi, Project Director. Mr. YOUNSI provided detailed information on the progress of the work, technical features, and challenges encountered.

The last point of the visit focused on ongoing repair works at quay no. 2 (posts 3 and 4), carried out by the company COSIDER. The President was able to directly observe the progress of this major infrastructure project.
