In implementation of the instructions of the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities and Transport, Mr. Said SAYOUD, regarding the field monitoring of port activities and the improvement of their performance, on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 23:00 at night, Mr. HADJAL Ryad, Chief Executive Officer of the Port Services Group “SARPORT” carried out an unannounced night visit to the port of Annaba.
Upon his arrival at the port, he was received by Mr. BOULARAS Ali, General Director of Annaba's Port Company, accompanied by several staff executives. He reviewed the progress of port operations and the conditions of night work within the framework of the 24/24 and 7/7 continuous working system.
During the visit, the CEOreviewed the operations system within the container terminal, where he inspected the single window service and the extent of implementation of ministerial instructions related to the import and processing of mass-consumption goods, with the aim of ensuring the supply of the national market, especially with the approaching month of Ramadan.
Mr. HADJAL also inspected the new mobile scanner and its equipment, acquired by Annaba Port Company and recently put into service, in order to accelerate the processing of containers and their exit from the port.
In the same context, he visited the two medical centers located at the northern and southern sides of the port, where he reviewed working conditions in the presence of the on-duty nursing staff.
The field visit concluded with an inspection of the grain terminal (Berth No. 12), where working conditions and operational progress were assessed, as well as the new grain unloading machine acquired by Annaba Port Company, which will provide a significant improvement in unloading grain vessels with a capacity of 400 tons per hour, thereby reducing the berthing time of such vessels at the port.
The CEO of the Port Services Group “SARPORT” expressed his satisfaction with the progress of operations at the port of Annaba, stressing the need to continue working at the same pace in order to make the port of Annaba a logistics port hub for the eastern region of the country.
