Annaba Port Receives the Joint Sectoral Committee for the Assessment of Port Facility Security
As part of the field visits aimed at auditing and assessing the port facility security system, Annaba Port received, starting from 26 July 2026, the joint sectoral committee responsible for this mission, within the framework of its periodic programme to evaluate the compliance of port facilities with the requirements of the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code).
The committee was welcomed in the presence of the General Director of Annaba Port Company, along with the members of the Operational Maritime and Port Security Committee.
This visit forms part of the efforts undertaken to assess the security readiness level of the port facility, verify compliance with the provisions of the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code), and evaluate the effectiveness of the organisational and operational measures implemented to strengthen the security and safety of the port facility.
The visit programme includes a series of field inspections and assessments, as well as technical meetings with the various stakeholders, with the aim of reviewing the current state of the security system, evaluating the measures in place, and proposing actions to further enhance maritime and port security in accordance with national and international standards.
Through this visit, Annaba Port reaffirms its ongoing commitment to strengthen the maritime and port security system, promoting a culture of vigilance and prevention, and ensuring the protection of the port facility, the safety of employees, economic operators, and all port users.
