A Historical Conference Held at the Port of Annaba to Mark National People’s Army Day
On the occasion of the celebration of National People’s Army Day, observed annually on August 4, Annaba Wilaya Office of the National Coordination for the Preservation of National Memory and Historical Heritage, in coordination with Annaba Port Company, organized a historical conference on the quay apron of Berth No. 05 at the port, on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., in the presence of representatives of several local institutions, as well as a large audience.
At the opening of the conference, Mr. FELFLI Djelloul, on behalf of Mr. BOULARAS Ali, Director General of Annaba Port Company, delivered a speech in which he welcomed the participants and distinguished guests. He expressed the company’s pride in hosting this historical event, which commemorates a national occasion deeply cherished by the Algerian people.
He also highlighted the great importance of commemorating National People’s Army Day in strengthening the values of patriotism and national belonging, as well as in raising awareness among younger generations of Algeria’s glorious history. He emphasized that hosting this conference by the Annaba Port Company is an honor for the company and reflects its commitment to supporting national initiatives aimed at preserving national memory and safeguarding historical heritage.
As part of its contribution to the success of this national initiative, Annaba Port Company mobilized all the necessary logistical resources and facilities for the organizers, including the provision of two tugboats to organize a sea tour inside and outside the port basin. This excursion gave participants the opportunity to discover the various port facilities and infrastructure while enjoying the beauty of Annaba Bay.
At the conclusion of the conference, the organizers expressed their sincere thanks and deep gratitude to the Annaba Port Company, commending its active contribution to the success of this national event, as well as its role in preserving national memory and fostering the values of national belonging and loyalty to the homeland among young people and future generations.
