Delegation from Italian Company “GNV” on a Working Visit to Annaba Port
As part of efforts to boost the 2026 summer season and in line with initiatives aimed at increasing and diversifying maritime connections through the Port of Annaba, a new maritime route linking the cities of Annaba and Civitavecchia, Italy, has been launched. Nine (09) regular sea crossings are scheduled during August and September 2026, operated by the Italian company GNV, contributing to enhanced passenger traffic and providing additional travel options for members of the Algerian community abroad and other passengers.
In this context, the Port of Annaba received a delegation from GNV on Thursday afternoon, August 6, 2026. The delegation conducted a field visit covering the various facilities of the passenger terminal, where its members reviewed the terminal’s modern equipment and inspected the infrastructure dedicated to receiving and handling passenger vessels at the port. They also familiarized themselves with the digital systems used to manage maritime activities and streamline passenger reception and vessel-handling procedures.
During the visit, the members of the delegation expressed their great satisfaction with the modern facilities available at the Port of Annaba’s passenger terminal. They praised the quality of the infrastructure and the technical resources in place, highlighting the favorable conditions these facilities provide for supporting and developing passenger maritime transport and strengthening the partnership between the two sides.
This visit is part of joint efforts to enhance passenger maritime transport services and consolidate the position of the Port of Annaba as a leading maritime gateway in the Mediterranean basin.
