Annaba Port Company Steps Up Efforts to Clean and Maintain the Port Area
In line with the instructions of Mr. Saïd SAYOUD, Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and Transport, aimed at improving the standards of Algerian ports, enhancing their surroundings, and strengthening their operational readiness, and in implementation of the field directives of the Port Services Group “SERPORT” Annaba Port Company has stepped up its field efforts to maintain the port area, preserve its cleanliness, and improve its overall appearance.
In this context, Annaba Port Company organized, on Monday, September 14, 2026, starting at 9:00 a.m., a large-scale cleaning campaign covering various areas of the port, with the participation of the different services concerned. This initiative is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to maintain the cleanliness of port facilities and spaces and improve the working environment.
The operation covered various quays, roads, open spaces, and port facilities. Different types of waste and debris were collected, while weeds were removed, contributing to improving the overall appearance of the port area, maintaining the cleanliness of its facilities, and providing a suitable working environment for employees, economic operators, and all port users.
For this operation, the company mobilized the necessary human resources and material means, enabling the campaign to be carried out under appropriate conditions and contribute to maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of the port area, while improving the quality of the working environment.
