The meeting was held in the conference hall of Annaba Port’s Maritime Terminal.

The meeting was held as part of efforts to strengthen dialogue and consultation with the various operators and stakeholders within the port community. In particular, it provided an opportunity to assess one full year of implementing the continuous 24/7 operating system (24 hours a day, 7 days a week), review its results, identify concerns and challenges, and propose appropriate solutions. The meeting also served as a platform for exchanging views on various practical aspects related to port operations, particularly the coordination of activities, the smooth movement of vessels and cargo, and improving the level of services provided to economic operators.

During the discussions, the participating economic operators expressed their views and assessment of the continuous operating system. They voiced their satisfaction with its implementation and with the greater flexibility it has provided in carrying out operations and improving the pace at which port activities are handled, while emphasizing the importance of continued coordination and consultation to further enhance its effectiveness.

Views were also exchanged on the challenges encountered, and proposals were discussed to strengthen coordination and integration among the various stakeholders. These efforts aim to improve working conditions, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure the continuity and effectiveness of port services.

The meeting resulted in a number of proposals and recommendations, providing a basis for continued joint efforts and coordination, as well as for strengthening the effectiveness of the continuous operating system in line with the requirements of port activities and contributing to improved performance.

This meeting reaffirms Annaba Port Company’s commitment to promote dialogue and consultation with its various partners and to pursue its efforts to improve service quality and enhance the port’s competitiveness, based on a vision centered on coordination, integration, and partnership among the various components of the port community.
