First simulation exercise conducted in 2026

In line with the instructions of the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities and Transport, Mr. Said SAYOUD, aimed at promoting a culture of prevention and consolidating occupational safety principles within ports, with to the field directives of the Port Services Group “SERPORT”, the Health and Safety Unit of Annaba Port Company organized, on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 11:30, a simulating exercise on field of an emergency situation at Quay No. 1/2 with the presence of the various relevant port services.

This exercise focused on a scenario involving the rescue of a port crane operator who suffered a sudden fainting incident while performing his job, where a rapid and effective intervention was executed in accordance with well-established procedures, reflecting the high level of preparedness of the responding teams.

The exercise was conducted under well-controlled organizational conditions, characterized by a high level of coordination among the various stakeholders, particularly Civil Protection staff and the relevant services which ensured the smoothest and most professional execution of the operation.
