Public Domain Management

The Annaba Port Authority ensures:

  • The management of the Public Port Domain and its related responsibilities.
  • The execution of policing and security operations related to maritime traffic, including piloting and mooring.
  • And the preservation, safeguarding, and development of the said public port domain.

The Public Port Domain is composed of infrastructures, superstructures, and dependencies burdened with easements for maritime traffic and port development. It consists of:

A- Facilities and Equipment:

  • Quay fenders and bollards necessary for ship docking.
  • Maritime station for passenger disembarkation/embarkation.
  • Silos, port warehouses, and weighbridges used for receiving, storing, and weighing goods.

B- Open storage areas and commercial surfaces for goods, generating domain fees.

C- Various networks (A.E.P - electric power, sanitation, etc.), railway tracks, and roads.


Handling and Stevedoring

The Handling Department provides services related to the loading and unloading of ships and the stevedoring of goods.

“Stevedoring” includes operations ensuring the reception, tallying, and recognition of goods onshore, as well as guarding, until their loading or delivery to the consignee.

These services are provided under the general conditions set in the tariff book and may be subject to order and/or commercial agreement.

The conditions and tariffs are published in the Company's tariff book.

- The current working hours are:

  • 1st Shift: 07:00 – 13:00
  • 2nd Shift: 13:00 – 19:00
  • 3rd Shift (Overtime): 19:00 – 01:00

For handling, Fridays and public holidays are also charged at 100%.


Piloting and Towing

Towing Service

The towing service provides technical assistance to ships entering and leaving the port, at anchorage, at the quay, or moving within the port, as well as services such as water supply.

The towing service operates continuously (24h/24h), including public holidays.

Piloting Service

Piloting is mandatory for all mechanically propelled ships with a net tonnage of 100 tons or more.


NAVAL EQUIPMENT:

  • Six (06) tugboats from 1000 to 4,120 HP
  • Three (03) pilot boats from 560 to 1,430 HP
  • Three (03) mooring boats from 156 to 158 HP
  • Anti-pollution vessel 'LAKLAK' 55 Kw
  • Floating anti-pollution barrier 2×250 m.

THE PORT COMPANY OF ANNABA ALSO PROVIDES OTHER SERVICES SUCH AS:

  • Supplying ships with fresh water.
  • Electrical power supply.
  • Rental of launches.
  • Cargo guarding service.
  • Waste removal service.
