Importation of ovine for Eid al-Adha 2026: A Second Vessel of 9,500 Sheep Unloaded at the Port of Annaba
As part of the program launched by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid TEBBOUNE, aimed at importing one million sheep in preparation for Eid al-Adha 2026, the vessel “ALKHDAIR” docked this Friday evening, May 8, 2026, at 8:30 p.m. at Berth No. 22 of Annaba Port, arriving from Romania with another cargo of sheep.
Annaba Port Company mobilized all its material and human resources, while strengthening on-site coordination with the various stakeholders involved in port activities to ensure the vessel’s optimal reception and the unloading operations under the best conditions and within the shortest possible time in accordance with the applicable regulatory and health procedures.
This operation is part of the national efforts aimed at ensuring the supply of the national market and providing sacrificial animals to citizens across the country in implementation of the directives of the country’s highest authorities.
