The docking of vessels carrying Eid sacrificial sheep continues at Annaba Port

The docking of vessels carrying Eid sacrificial sheep continues at Annaba Port, in implementation of the program of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid TEBBOUNE, aimed at importing one million sheep in order to support the national market and ensure the availability of Eid al-Adha livestock for citizens in 2026.

In accordance with the instructions of the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities and Transport, Saïd SAYOUD, aimed at providing the best conditions for receiving vessels and sheep consignments through various ports across the country, and in implementation of the operational directives of the port services group "SERPORT", the Lebanese vessel Karim Allah docked today, Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., arriving from Romania at Berth No. 22, carrying a new carrier of sheep.

A dedicated operational program was established by Annaba Port Company, in coordination with various port stakeholders, through the mobilization of all material and human resources in order to ensure the best conditions for the smooth berthing of the vessel and the unloading of the cargo, while complying with all health and organizational measures applicable to this type of activity.

These joint efforts demonstrate the commitment of all stakeholders to ensuring the efficiency of operations and their execution under optimal conditions, reflecting the high level of readiness of Annaba Port in handling and managing this type of activity.
