Arrival of a New Shipment of Eid Sacrificial Sheep at the Port of Annaba
As part of the program launched by the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid TEBBOUNE, aimed at importing one million sheep for the benefit of citizens in preparation for Eid al-Adha 2026, and in implementation of the instructions of the Minister of Transport, Mr. Saïd SAYOUD, to ensure the best organizational conditions at the national ports and achieve the highest levels of efficiency through coordination among all stakeholders involved in livestock shipment operations, as well as in line with the field directives of the Port Services Group “SERPORT”, the Port of Annaba received a new shipment of sheep on Saturday, May 16, 2026.
SIDRA vessel arriving from Georgia docked at 12:30 p.m. at Berth No 22. On this occasion, Annaba Port Company mobilized all its human and material resources, in coordination with the various port stakeholders, to ensure the smooth unloading of the livestock shipment and its transfer to the designated storage areas under well-organized conditions that fully comply with the health and safety standards applicable to this type of activity.
Through this operation, Annaba Port Company reaffirms its constant readiness and full commitment to implementing the directives of the supervisory ministry while strengthening its operational capabilities in support of the national economy and in response to citizens expectations.
