The Port of Annaba receives a new shipment of livestock

According to the program of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid TEBBOUNE, aimed at importing one million head of sheep to supply the national market and provide Eid sacrifice sheeps for citizens on the occasion of Eid al-Adha 2026, and in application of the instructions of the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities and Transport, Mr. Saïd SAYOUD, calling for the provision of the best organizational and logistical conditions at national ports to ensure maximum efficiency and speed in handling and unloading imported sheep cargo and in line with the field directives of the port services group “SERPORT”, the Port of Annaba mobilized all its material and human resources while strengthening close coordination with all stakeholders involved in port activities to guarantee the best conditions for receiving and handling the vessel “APUS” which docked on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at berth No. 22 at 2:45 PM carrying a new cargo of sheep.

A series of organizational and operational measures were taken to accelerate the unloading process and transfer the shipment to the approved distribution points under conditions ensuring smoothness and efficiency, while strictly complying with all applicable health and veterinary procedures in this field.

Through this operation, the Port of Annaba confirms its full readiness and its logistical and organizational capabilities to receive and handle this type of activity reflecting the efficiency of its facilities, the professionalism of its human resources and its effective contribution to implementing the directives of the public authorities aimed at ensuring a regular supply of essential goods to the national market in service of the national economy and to meet citizens needs under the best conditions.
