Annaba Port Company receives a new cargo of sheep
As part of the implementation of the program of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid TEBOUNE, aimed at importing one million head of sheep to supply the national market and ensure the availability of Eid sacrificial livestock for Eid al-Adha 2026, and in accordance with the instructions of the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities and Transport, Said SAYOUD, regarding the provision of optimal organizational and logistical conditions at national ports, and in line with the directives of the SERPORT Group, Annaba Port Company has mobilized all its material and human resources, while strengthening coordination with all stakeholders involved in port activities.
This mobilization aims to ensure the best reception and handling conditions for the vessel "ALFA BRO", arriving from Syria, docking on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at berth No. 22 at 07:15 a.m., carrying a new cargo of sheep.
A set of organizational and operational measures has been taken to speed up unloading operations and the transfer of the shipment to approved distribution points, while ensuring strict compliance with applicable health and veterinary procedures.
Through this operation, Annaba Port Company confirms its full readiness and its logistical and organizational capabilities to handle this type of activity, reflecting the efficiency of its facilities and the professionalism of its workforce, as well as its contribution to implement public authorities directives aimed at ensuring a steady supply of essential goods to the national market.
