Port of Annaba Launches Large-Scale Cleaning and Sanitation Campaign to Enhance Port Environment and Operational Standards.
In implementation of the instructions of the Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and Transport, Mr. Saïd Sayoud, aimed at enhancing the image of Algerian ports and strengthening their economic and logistical role as strategic gateways to the country and vital infrastructures supporting foreign trade and national economic growth, and in accordance with the standards governing port management and operations, as well as in fulfillment of the field directives of the Port Services Group (SERPORT), the Port Enterprise of Annaba launched, on the morning of Wednesday, June 3, 2026, in coordination with the various relevant services and authorities, a large-scale cleaning and sanitation campaign throughout the entire port area.
This operation covered the various facilities and spaces located in both the northern and southern zones of the port. To ensure the success of this campaign, the necessary human and material resources were mobilized. The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to improve the port environment and preserve its cleanliness and attractiveness.
The campaign aims to remove various types of waste and debris, clean the quays, open areas, and internal roadways, and enhance the overall port environment in order to provide a suitable and safe working environment for all economic operators and workers.
Through this campaign, the Port Enterprise of Annaba reaffirms its unwavering commitment to maintaining the cleanliness of the port environment and promoting the principles of sustainable development.
