Annaba Port Receives a Second Strategic Shipment for the Eastern Mining Railway Line Project

In implementation of the instructions of the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities and Transport, Mr. Said SAYOUD, aimed at supporting national strategic projects and ensuring the best conditions for receiving vessels transporting various equipment and materials through the national ports, and in accordance with the directives of the Port Services Group “SERPORT”, Annaba Port received, on Monday, August 3, 2026, a second shipment intended to support the construction works of the railway section linking Bouchegouf to Dréa, over a distance of 121 km, as part of the Eastern Mining Railway Line Project.

The shipment arrived aboard the vessel “XING SHUN 56”, which docked at berth No. 07/08. It consisted of 108 trucks, two overhead cranes, 629 steel bridge beams, as well as 128 containers containing various equipment and materials intended for this strategic project, with a total tonnage of 15,616.101 tonnes.

On this occasion, Annaba Port Company mobilized all its human, material, organizational and logistical resources to ensure that unloading operations which were carried out under the best conditions. This mobilization reflects its full commitment to supporting national strategic projects by ensuring the smooth flow of port operations and the efficient handling of vessels transporting the equipment and materials required for their implementation.

This operation once again confirms the strategic role of Annaba Port in supporting the national economy by ensuring the smooth flow of the logistics chain and facilitating the transportation of equipment intended for major infrastructure projects, thereby contributing to accelerating their implementation and achieving national development objectives.
