New Call of “GNV CRISTAL” Car Ferry at the Port of Annaba

 As part of the continued implementation of the programme established for the 2026 summer season, and in accordance with the instructions of Mr. Saïd SAYOUD, Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and Transport, aimed at improving passenger reception conditions and enhancing the level of services provided to them, as well as in implementation of the operational directives of the Port Services Group “SERPORT”, the Port of Annaba welcomed, on Sunday, August 30, 2026, the car ferry “GNV CRISTAL”, arriving from Civitavecchia-Italy.

 This call is part of the regular maritime service programme scheduled for August and September 2026, connecting the Port of Annaba with the Port of Civitavecchia, thereby strengthening the maritime link between Algeria and Italy and supporting passenger maritime transport.

 The vessel berthed at the maritime terminal at approximately 10:35 a.m., carrying 67 passengers and 28 vehicles. Passenger reception operations were carried out under good organizational conditions, thanks to coordination between the various services and organizations involved, notably the Maritime Border Police, Customs Services, services of Annaba Port Company and various partners and stakeholders.

 After completion of the return procedures, the vessel “GNV CRISTAL” departed the Port of Annaba at approximately 2:05 p.m., heading for Civitavecchia -Italia, carrying 259 passengers and 90 vehicles, under good conditions reflecting the availability of the various services and the effectiveness of coordination and complementarity among them.

 This operation confirms the continued efforts of Annaba Port Company to ensure the smooth flow of passengers and vehicles and provide a high-quality public service based on good organization, prompt assistance and a warm welcome, in line with the requirements of the summer season and meeting passengers expectations, particularly those of members of the Algerian national community residing abroad.

 This momentum is also part of the company’s efforts to strengthen the role of the maritime terminal at the Port of Annaba as a vital maritime gateway, and to contribute to strengthen communication links between Algeria and its community members abroad, while also consolidating the maritime connection between Algeria and its partners across the Mediterranean.
