New Cement Shipment Exported from Annaba Port to the United States

In implementation of the instructions of Mr. Saïd SAYOUD, Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and Transport, aimed at continuing the modernization and development of Algerian ports, improving their performance, and strengthening their role in supporting foreign trade and exports, particularly non-hydrocarbon exports, and in accordance with the field directives of the Port Services Group “SERPORT” Annaba Port handled a new cement export operation destined for international markets.

The operation involved the shipment of 26,000 tonnes of cement packed in Big Bags aboard the vessel “MATILDA GS,” on behalf of the economic operator BISKRIA CIMENT, for export to the United States.

To ensure the smooth execution of this operation under optimal conditions, Annaba Port Company mobilized its various material, human, and organizational resources, while strengthening coordination and cooperation among the different stakeholders and operators involved in port activities. This ensured the smooth handling of the loading operations and compliance with the requirements of the export process.

This operation reflects the continued momentum in the export of Algerian products through Annaba Port and highlights its role in supporting economic operators and enhancing the competitiveness of national exports.

The operation is part of the ongoing efforts undertaken by Annaba Port Company to improve the quality of port services, strengthen the port’s contribution to support non-hydrocarbon exports, and open up broader opportunities for Algerian products in international markets.
